F. Arezzo et al., CHARACTERIZATION OF TIN FILMS DEPOSITED ONTO STAINLESS-STEEL STRIPS BY CONTINUOUS DRY-COATING PROCESS, Thin solid films, 291, 1996, pp. 226-231
This paper constitutes the second and final part of a work aimed at ch
aracterizing TiN coatings obtained by different physical vapor deposit
ion techniques, namely, ion plating, sputtering, and electron beam, ut
ilized as continuous processes. The results of characterization indica
ted that the properties of the coatings are affected by the deposition
techniques. Significant differences were observed in texture, morphol
ogy, chemical composition, adhesion, and other features of the coating
s obtained by electron beam technology compared to those obtained by s
puttering and ion plating.
