W. Boyse et Jb. Keller, SHORT ACOUSTIC, ELECTROMAGNETIC, AND ELASTIC-WAVES IN RANDOM-MEDIA, Journal of the Optical Society of America. A, Optics, image science, and vision., 12(2), 1995, pp. 380-389
First and second one- and two-point moments of the phase, the amplitud
e, and the field of a periodic wave in a random medium are calculated.
Acoustic, electromagnetic, and elastic waves are treated. In the elec
tromagnetic and elastic cases the Stokes matrix is determined, and the
depolarization of the wave is found. The medium is assumed to be near
ly uniform and statistically homogeneous and isotropic. A high-frequen
cy expansion is used together with a perturbation expansion in the mag
nitude of the inhomogeneity.
