Abstract
10 of 150 patients had persistent vertigo after implantation of stapes prostheses. These patients were evaluated by high resolution CT in th e axial and coronal plane. Scans showed in all cases findings which re lated to the symptoms. The CT findings were proved intraoperatively in 9 cases. A new indirect sign of a perilymphatic fistula is described in form of an air bulla at the end of the prosthesis. Retympanotomy co uld be planned better with the help of HR-CT.
