Abstract
Lithium chloroallylide inserts regiospecifically into the alkyl-zircon ium bond of mono- and bi-cyclic zirconacyclopentenes to afford allyl z irconium complexes. These may be further elaborated by the insertion o f aldehydes in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate.
