A high-resolution FTIR spectrum of InH produced in a heat pipe cell wa
s observed in absorption; 122 transitions for two isotopic species wer
e measured, and the molecular constants were refined by simultaneous a
nalysis of these transitions with those of the previous measurements (
Chem. Phys. Lett. 155, 269-272, 1989). Analysis of the Herman-Wallis e
ffect of this molecule gave mu(e)/(d mu/dr)(e) = 0.67 (15) A, which wa
s compared with the results for AIH and GaH reported recently (J. Mol.
