Abstract
The universal type curves for mass transport in radial flow establishe d numerically by Sauty in 1978 have been modified in this paper by usi ng different boundary conditions of high accuracy. The method to deter mine the hydrodispersive parameters by interpretation of tracer experi ments in radial flow using modified approximate analytical solutions i s simple and accurate. It is shown that the approximate analytical sol utions can be applied to mass transport in radial Bow thanks to the in troduction of correction factors, although there are large differences between the approximate analytical solutions and numerical solutions for radial flow in certain cases. The correction factors are derived f rom comparison of the above two solutions. For each case, a verificati on of this method has been performed by interpretation of numerical da ta using the approach formulae with the help of estimated correction f actors.
