From density and viscosity measurements of binary mixtures of 1,3-dich
loropropane with isomeric butanols over the whole composition range at
298.15 and 313.15 K and atmospheric pressure, excess viscosities eta(
E) and excess free energies of activation of flow G(E) have been calc
ulated. The results are correlated by means of a Redlich-Kister type e
quation. Both eta(E) and G(E) are negative for all the mixtures.
