The Raman isotropic nu(1) band of H2S has been studied in the supercri
tical phase. The temperature dependence of the spectrum was investigat
ed along three isochores corresponding to the critical density (rho(c)
), 0.5 rho(c) and 0.3 rho(c). The inhomogeneous broadening evidenced o
n the critical isochore can be related to the duration or to the ampli
tude of the density fluctuations.
