Abstract
Tew data on the content and distribution of REE, hafnium, uranium, tho rium and some oreforming elements in the zircons of orebearing granite s of different age from several regions of Russia are presented. It is shown that these zircons have some specific features related to the o rigin of granites. As the zircons are known as the geochemical indicat ors of granite differentiation and ore mineralisation the pecularities of zircon chemical composition are recommended for geochemical survey in concern with REE and ore elements.
