Abstract
It is shown that the quantum confinement effect induces in a blue shif t and broadering of the excitonic structure which has been observed fo r the first time in the reflection spectrum of ZnS - ZnSe - ZnS/GaAs(1 00) single quantum well synthesized by the photo-assisted vapour phase epitaxy method (PAVPE). Peculiarities of the PAVPE technology for the growth of epistructures are discussed.
