Abstract
The paper is the first in a series which presents results on the small -signal diametral response of a Czochralski crystal grown in a resista nce furnace to variations in the heating temperature and pulling rate. It is shown that the small-signal diameter variation is related to th e small-signal bulk melt temperature and pulling rate variation via a second order linear differential equation.
