Abstract
Blood samples were collected from 14 male and 20 female clinically nor mal captive houbara bustards (Chlamydotis undulata macqueenii). Standa rd haematology assays were carried out to establish normal reference v alues for the species. No significant statistical differences were obs erved between males and females. The results obtained are compared wit h similar studies conducted in the great bustard (Otis tarda).
