Abstract
In this letter we investigate the scaling properties of two-dimensiona l turbulence by using direct numerical simulations of the vorticity eq uation. We compare the numerical results with some theoretical predict ions derived by the conformal field theory of two-dimensional turbulen ce recently proposed by Polyakov.
