Abstract
Deterministic 1D chaos, that is chaos in maps x' = F(x), x is an eleme nt of R, can represent exactly the chaotic dynamics of 1D linear oscil lators subject to periodic, non-linear delayed impulses, for suitable tuning between the impulse period and the free-oscillation period.
