Abstract
Adaptive critic and chemotaxis algorithms are used to control a cart-p ole system. Performance of these two methods are compared with earlier results obtained by using the functional link outerproduct method, as well as two other variations of the classical adaptive critic. This w ork is expected to shed light on biologically plausible adaptive contr ol methods used to control and maintain the postural stability of the human musculo-skeletal system.
