Mc. Gennaro et al., RETENTION DEPENDENCE ON ORGANIC MODIFIER AND INTERACTION REAGENT CONCENTRATION IN REVERSED-PHASE ION-INTERACTION HPLC, Journal of liquid chromatography, 18(2), 1995, pp. 311-330
The effect played on ion-interaction chromatographic retention by the
concentrations of the organic modifier and of the ion-interaction reag
ent as a function of the ionic strength is studied. Experiments are pe
rformed for a series of analytes characterized by different chemical p
roperties (nitrate, nitrite, iodide, ascorbic, erotic and p-aminobenzo
ic acids, aniline, benzylamine, p- and m-aminophenol) in the absence a
nd in the presence of organic modifiers (acetonitrile and methanol) an
d of sodium perchlorate to control the ionic strength(I = 1.0 M).
