D. Legrand et al., INFECTIOUS GENITAL DISEASE BY UREAPLASMA- DIVERSUM - INVESTIGATIONS ON BOVINE IN FRANCE, Veterinary research, 26(1), 1995, pp. 11-20
A first bacteriological study of infection by Ureaplasma diversum in c
attle was performed in France on 50 bulls and 565 dairy cows. U divers
um was isolated in 74% (37/50) of the bull semen and 40% (227/565) of
the cows. No significant relationship was found in cows between infect
ion and lesions of granular vulvitis, nor between infection and breedi
ng performances. Serological studies of isolates by membrane filtratio
n dot immunobinding showed a predominance of the serogroups B and C in
males, and serogroup B in females.
