Abstract
The well-known Mobius inversion formula and its unitary analogue estab lished by Eckford Cohen have been generalized by Suryanarayana. Using the notion of a conjugate pair of direct factor sets, Eckford Cohen ha s generalized the Mobius inversion formula in a different way. In this paper we obtain an inversion formula which gives each of the above as a special case.
