Abstract
Oxidative desulfurization-fluorination of methyl N-pyridy-(or N-pyrimi dyl)-N-alkydithiocarbamates gave the corresponding trifluoromethylamin o-substituted pyridines (or pyrimidines), which underwent cross-coupli ng reaction to give a new type of liquid crystalline compounds having trifluoromethylamino group.
