Abstract
In this article, a fast and novel method is proposed to determine accu rately and efficiently the singularity due to the surface wave as foun d in the electric field integral equation. The method involves a simpl e reorganization of the classical expressions for both the transverse electric (D(TE)) and the transverse magnetic surface wave modes (D(TM) ) into some piecewise linear forms suitable for the Newton-Raphson alg orithm. Extensive numerical comparison is made with some of the classi cal methods used for pole extraction. The numerical results, as presen ted, confirm efficiency and fast quadratic convergence.
