Gk. Sandhu et Ss. Sandhu, PREPARATION, IR AND SN-119M MOSSBAUER SPECTRAL DATA OF DIORGANOTIN(IV) DERIVATIVES OF N-PHTHALOYLGLYCINE, Synthesis and reactivity in inorganic and metal-organic chemistry, 25(1), 1995, pp. 93-104
Diorganotin(IV) derivatives L(2)SnR(2) [2:1] and (LSnR(2))(2)O [1:1] (
R = Me, n-Bu, n-oct, benzyl; L = anion of N-phthaloylglycine) have bee
n prepared by reacting diorganotin(IV) oxides with N-phthaloylglycine.
All the compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR,
H-1 NMR AND Sn-119m Mossbauer data which confirm a trans-octahedral an
d a trigonal bipyramidal structure with a Sn-O-Sn bridge for the 2:1 a
nd 1:1 derivatives respectively. All the complexes have a unidentate c
arboxylate group and a Sn-N bond except L(2)Sn(n-C4H9)(2) which has a
bidentate carboxylate group and a linear R-Sn-R moiety with C-Sn-C bon
d angle equal to 180 degrees.
