Abstract
Navel mixed-ligand complexes of Cd(II) of the compositions [Cd(NCS)(2) (MPHP)(2)] and [Cd(NCS)(2)(ADMPHP)], Hg(II) of the compositions [Hg(SC N)(2)(DMMASPHP)(2)] and [Hg(SCN)(2)(ADMPHP)] and Zn(II) of the composi tions [Zn(NCS)(2)(DMMASPHP)(2)] and [Zn(NCS)(2)(ADMPHP)] have been syn thesized by the interaction of metal(II) thiocyanate with the respecti ve ligands in alcohol. The resulting complexes have been characterized by analytical data, molar conductances, magnetic measurements and inf rared spectral studies. The complexes are thermally stable and behave as non-electrolytes, Suitable tetrahedral structures have been propose d for these complexes.
