Abstract
The direction of reactions of 2-ethoxycarbonyl-5,6,7,8-tetrafluoro- an d 2-carboxy-5,6,7,8-tetrafluorochromones with ammonia, methylamine, he xylamine, and aniline depends on the inductive effect of the substitue nt at position C-2 of the chromone and on the basicity of the amine. N ucleophilic aromatic substitution of a fluorine atom takes place in th e interaction of 2-ethoxycarbonyl-5,6,7,8-tetrafluorochrome with secon dary amines (morpholine, N-methylpiperazine) and ethylenediamine.
