Abstract
2-(Diphenylmethylsilyl)ethyl phenyl sulfones 4b and 4c have been shown to be highly practical reagents for vinylation and isopropenylation o f aldehydes, ketones and epoxides to afford the silyl ethers of the co rresponding allylic or homoallylic alcohols in good yield in a one-pot procedure.
