Abstract
A lumped parameter model has been developed to predict the liquid film wise condensation of pure refrigerants, as well as refrigerant mixture s, inside vertical cylinder with enhanced surfaces. The mathematical f ormulation is based on mass, momentum and energy balance. Several cons titutive relationships have been established to describe the various p henomena during condensation. Numerical results indicate that the mode l fairly predicted the liquid filmwise condensation phenomenon, under various conditions.
