Abstract
The spectroscopic characterization of the cation [CpBBr](+) from 1979
is now followed by its structural determination with the help of X-ra
y methods. The B-C-distance with 168 pm is in the same range as that o
f carboranes. The methyl groups of the Cp-ring are bent in the direct
ion of the boron atom.
