Abstract
Charge recombination dynamics of photogenerated ionic species in poly (N-vinylcarbazole) films doped with an electron acceptor was investiga ted by transient absorption spectroscopy in the microsecond to millise cond time region. The absorption decay was independent of the concentr ation of the ionic species and approximately obeys a t(-1/2) time depe ndence. The observed recombination process was well interpreted in ter ms of hole diffusion-controlled geminate recombination process.
