Abstract
Capnography is the measurement of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration i n a gas mixture. This article discusses the clinical applications and Limitations of capnography and end-tidal CO2 monitoring. In addition, an evaluation of the technical aspects insofar as to whether they limi t or enhance clinical application and the physical principles on which the monitors' functions are based.
