Abstract
We report the high resolution low temperature X-ray diffraction invest igation on the structural phase transition (SPT) from a low temperatur e orthorhombic (LTO) to a low temperature tetragonal (LTT) phase for a n optimally-doped La2-xSrxCuO4 (x = 0.15) high quality single crystal. Results show a frustrated SPT and the coexistence of both LTO and LTT phases at ah temperatures below about 145 K with the LTO phase being predominant down to at least 5 K.
