Three concentrations of gibberellic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic ac
id and a mixture of both were utilized to induce an increase in yield
and a reduction in crop cycle ''chileno'', a purple garlic variety. A
200 ppm gibberellic acid treatment given to the ''seed'' gave 34% yiel
d increase and reduced crop cycle in about 30 days.
