For high energy processes (M >> Lambda(QCD)) there are infrared safe h
adronic shape variables that have a calculable perturbative expansion
in a(s)(M(2)). However, nonperturbative power suppressed corrections t
o these variables are not well understood. We use the behavior of larg
e orders of the perturbation expansion to gain insight into the nonper
turbative corrections. Our results suggest that certain shape variable
s have nonperturbative corrections suppressed by fractional powers of
Lambda(ACD)(2)/M(2).
