Abstract
The peculiarities of the macrokinetics of rapid polymerization process es in turbulent flows (when the times of the chemical reaction are les s than or comparable to those of the reagent mixing) are discussed. Pa rticular attention is given to the modeling of early stages of the tub ular reactor where monomer and catalyst are mixed. The effects of proc esses such as macromixing and micromixing on monomer conversion are an alyzed. New criteria for defining different kinds of macrokinetic cond itions for rapid polymerization in turbulent flows are proposed.
