Abstract
Methods for enhancing the dynamic range of the intensity noise techniq ue for high-frequency photoreceiver calibration are proposed and exper imentally demonstrated. These methods combine recently developed EDFA technology with spectral filtering techniques. The intensity noise ca libration technique is portable, easy to use, and field deployable.
