Abstract
The basic unsolved questions concerning GABA(A) receptors are: ''How m any receptor subtypes exist?'', ''What subtypes are used by which type s of neuron and where are they located on the cell?'', and ''What are the functions of the different subtypes?'' As described in this Review , the cerebellum is an ideal vertebrate brain region for investigating these issues. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
