Abstract
Reaction of the cyclic compound [Bu(t)(H)]N-Si(Me)2-N(Bu(t))-SnBr with tert-butylamine intermediate yields the [Bu(t)(H)N-SnBr](2), which wi th excess tert-butylamine, ligates a four-membered Li2Br2 ring [2.61(2 ) and 2.69(2) Angstrom] by multiple acid-base interactions between the metallic and the non-metallic centres giving a molecular product of t he composition {Sn-2[N(H)Bu(t)]Br-2(2)}(2).Li2Br2.4Bu(t)NH(2) as shown by X-ray crystallography.
