Abstract
Recent observations by Zinnecker & Preibisch indicate that young Ae/Be stars are significant X-ray emitters. Here we suggest that this X-ray emission comes from a corona which is heated by magnetic activity. We argue that dynamo activity can be sustained in these predominantly ra diative stars by tapping the initial stellar differential rotation.
