Abstract
Flow behaviour of melt mixed blends of EPDM and EVA are studied to elu cidate the effect of ENB and VA content. Viscosity and extrudate swell ing have been studied as a function of shear rate and blend ratio. Hig h-ENB-content EPDM shows more pseudoplastic behaviour. Stored elastic energy increases as the EPDM/EVA ratio decreases, particularly for low -ENB-content EPDM. Extrudate surface irregularities are more frequent in low-ENB-content EPDM with low-VA-content EVA in the blends due to n on-uniformity of the blends.
