B. Singh et V. Saxena, AXISYMMETRICAL VIBRATION OF A CIRCULAR PLATE WITH DOUBLE LINEAR VARIABLE THICKNESS, Journal of sound and vibration, 179(5), 1995, pp. 879-897
The Rayleigh-Ritz method has been employed to study the axisymmetric t
ransverse vibration of a circular plate with two different linear vari
ations in thickness; one in the central core and the other in the oute
r annular region. The boundary has been taken either clamped or simply
supported. Results for linearly varying thickness and uniform thickne
ss have been obtained as special cases and are compared with those ava
ilable in the literature. The effects of the various parameters on the
frequencies, mode shapes and the nodal radii have been examined throu
gh extensive numerical results given in the form of graphs and tables.
