Abstract
Palatal tremor (PT) is frequently caused by brainstem lesions. The inf erior olive plays a major role in the pathophysiologic mechanisms invo lved. We report a case of PT of cortical origin presenting as epilepsi a partialis continua. EEG showed continuous left frontocentral epilept iform discharges and both single photon emissioncomputed tomography (S PECT) and positron emission tomography (PET) showed focal hypoperfusio n and hypometabolism in the corresponding location.
