Abstract
Molecular diversity provides a source of novel lead compounds for drug discovery. In particular, soluble combinatorial libraries composed of millions of peptides, peptidomimetics and organic compounds have lead to the successful identification of new pharmacophores. The current d evelopment of structurally defined combinatorial libraries will broade n the applicability of combinatorial chemistry.
