Abstract
A full wave moment method is applied for the analysis of aperture coup led microstrip antennas, in which all components of electric and equiv alent magnetic surface currents are considered, Electric current distr ibutions on the rectangular patch for different coupling aperture posi tions are presented with their radiation patterns. Effects of the coup ling aperture shape and size on the input impedance and radiation perf ormances are also discussed. As an example of new radiators, slotted p atches are studied, and it is shown that they can be used to achieve d ual-frequency operation.
