A 3 1/2-year old girl with acute lymphoblastic leukemia developed ther
apy-induced ascites during initial chemotherapy. This life-threatening
condition was controlled by intensive care measures including ascites
tap and drainage. Chemotherapy could then be continued. The patients
achieved a complete remission.
