Abstract
This Paper presents an experimental and analytical investigation of th e strength and deformation behaviour of biaxially loaded slender and t ied columns with square and L-shaped cross-sections. Both ascending an d descending branches of the load-deformation curves are explored. The proposed computer analysis predicts well the experimental data of eig ht L-shaped and six square slender columns.
