Abstract
Cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis is a rare inherited disorder of bile ac id metabolism producing xanthomata and severe, progressive neurologica l deficits. In spite of the rarity of the condition it is important be cause it is treatable: the neurological deterioration can be halted an d in some cases reversed.
