Abstract
We discuss the specification of x-ray mirror surfaces in terms of thei r imaging performance and express the results in terms of quantities t hat are directly accessible from laboratory profile measurements. Proc edures are illustrated by strawman examples in glancing- and normal-in cidence geometries.
