Abstract
Preparation and spectral characteristics of 6-(alpha-anilino-X-benzyl) derivatives of 5-hydroxy-2-hydroxymethyl-4H-pyran-4-one are described . The substituent in position 5 hinders entering of another substituen t to position 6. Some products of Betti reaction are thermolabile and decompose.
