Ma. Aronov et Mp. Kokurkin, ENERGY CHARACTERISTICS OF POLYMER INSULATION DIELECTRIC STRENGTH UNDER PARTIAL DISCHARGE STRESS, ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY, (3), 1994, pp. 49-61
An energy parameter - the specific energy of dielectric destruction -
can be used as a criterion of polymer insulation stability under surfa
ce partial discharge stress. Here account is taken of the fact that on
ly part of the energy is consumed on the destruction of a unit volume
of the dielectric. This characteristic depends only on the properties
of the dielectric, and to find it only a short period of time is requi
red, sufficient for a measurable volume of destroyed dielectric to be
formed.
