M. Salmain et al., ANALYTICAL POTENTIAL OF NEAR-INFRARED FOURIER-TRANSFORM RAMAN-SPECTRAIN THE DETECTION OF SOLID TRANSITION-METAL CARBONYL STEROID-HORMONES, Journal of Raman spectroscopy, 26(1), 1995, pp. 31-38
Near-infrared (NIR) Fourier transform (FT) Raman spectra of four stero
id hormones labeled with organometallic fragments, five steroid hormon
es and five model organometallic complexes were measured at room tempe
rature. The objective was to determine which particular molecular vibr
ations of the steroid hormones might be best suited for any future qua
ntitative analyses. On the basis of this FT-Raman study, a classificat
ion of the most important vibrations as a function of their relative b
and intensities is proposed, i.e. nu(Co-2-alkyne) approximate to nu(Co
-Co) < nu(C=C) approximate to nu(C-C)(Cp)(Cp = eta(5)-C5H5) < nu(C=O)
< nu(C=N).
