A new Doppler-free nuclear spectroscopy method is proposed. It is base
d on the resonance interaction of bichromatic laser light with an atom
with a hyperfine structure in its ground state. The population of hyp
erfine components for the ii-case is calculated and the polarization r
ate dependence on the laser powers and phase difference is found. The
case of nonstable atoms is considered and the angular distribution of
nuclear decay gamma-quanta is calculated. The problem of experimental
realization of the method proposed is discussed.
