Abstract
Malnutrition is often a leading sign in cancer patients. Cancer cachex ia influences the prognosis of patients in a negative way in that maln utrition decreases the immune response resulting in increased infectio us complications. intensified nutritional support often improves the q uality of life. However, no decrease in tumor-associated mortality or increase in survival has thus for been demonstrated.
